ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE CLUB
Artificial Intelligence (AI) club helps our community of students from a variety of backgrounds develop a practical understanding of computational intelligence (AI) and work together to apply programming techniques to games, robotics. We are currently a small and upcoming club on campus, consisting of students from a variety of degree programs interested in sharing a better understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) problems, techniques for implementing their respective solutions, and keeping abreast of current developments in the domain.
AI focuses on the use of computers and how they can be effectively used to develop intelligent software and systems. When people think of AI, they typically think of the intelligent agents that can be found throughout culture, including, siri, HAL from Space Odyssey, or Cortana from the Halo video game series. But this only is one facet. Other sub disciplines under this area of computer science include natural language processing, robotics, and neural networks to name a few. We focus primarily on the implementation of AI in the context of games, including the development of Conway's Game of Life, Connect 4, and several flocking algorithms.
And we look forward to explore new sub disciplines of AI, such as pattern recognition, computer vision, and augmented/virtual reality environments. We also hope to acquire some hardware for use in these new endeavors.We welcome students of all ages and levels of programming experience. No previous experience in AI required.
Objectives of AI Club
- This Club aims at transforming SREC Next Revolution in providing AI man power to the world.
- The objective is to equip the students with the ability and skills to analyze, design and develop computer systems and their applications
- The focus will be on development and strengthening systems thinking, problem solving, analysis, design, research, team work and readiness for lifelong learning in areas of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Applications in Healthcare and Smart Living, Speech Recognition and Natural Language Processing (NLP), Cyber Forensics, Bio-Informatics and Genomics, Smart Vehicles, Cancer Cell Detection and Drug Discovery.
DATA SCIENCE CLUB
Data Science is a relatively new and exciting field offering a wide scope of opportunities when it comes to career comes to career. Some of the students who have been working in the field and could realize its potential are keen to develop a culture where the interested students can discuss this vast field under one umbrella. We started this club to elevate the benchmark of work that has been happening in our college and make more and more people aware of the data science in general. We strive to be the single focal point of overall development and growth of the student community with interests in areas of data analytics, machine learning, and big data
Objectives of DS Club
- Hands-on practice with tools and frameworks being used in the industry to develop solutions in selected languages such as Mat lab, R, and python.
- Basic Idea of Data Science will be provided through various sessions.
- Discussion of best practices in the use of data science.
- We aim to bring together students interested in data science to focus on techniques and methods.
- Information about hackathons related to Data Science will be provided and the latest updates in this field will be explored during sessions.
- All the doubts of students will be clarified during sessions
- We offer students a platform to learn, shape, and network, bringing them together with industry experts and allowing them to engage in hands-on, interdisciplinary projects
- We will conduct Hackathons and Workshops related to Data Science
CODING CLUB
The Department launched the Coding Club to encourage the students to enable them to crack technical interviews and competitive programming at the end of 2 years of maters in engineering education. It aims at conducting coding competitions on various advanced programming languages, establish a coding culture and motivate them to learn latest programming with enthusiasm.
